The painting was published in Collier’s Magazine on March 22, 1947 as a half page illustration to accompany a story by S.Y. Gromberg. A copy of the vintage magazine will be sent with the painting.

We note that Ms. Wiggins painted several works for Collier’s, including covers, but we’ve been unable to unearth any biographical details.
